The Most Common Questions Asked During An Accident

One of the most common questions asked during an accident is â€Å"who’s responsible?† The people involved usually try their best to assign the blame onto another person as to not receive any consequences. But how can one know who is truly at fault? How can one separate all the factors and trace the blame to one single choice or choices made by a person or a group of people? Some answer that the person who did the action is responsible. Others answer that the person with the greatest knowledge of the outcomes is responsible. I, however, argue that if a person influences someone’s actions, then the influencer is responsible. If I were to influence someone else s actions, then I ought to be held accountable. For example, once, my friends and†¦show more content†¦I could have easily thrown it to another person, said to Jared not to run near the woods, or given the ball to someone that was a better thrower. Even though I had no intent of deliberately making Jared and my friends angry by throwing the ball into the woods, Jared holds me responsible for all the other things I could have done so the ball could have not gotten lost. As I look at it, Jared is responsible for the ball being lost. He encouraged me to throw the ball by running towards the woods and extending his arms like he is going to catch it. If he did not run towards the woods, I would have never thrown the ball near the woods and it would have never gotten lost. Jared knew that he was running towards the woods and that there was the possibility that he would not catch the ball and that it would become lost. In this situation, Jared could have not been responsible for losing the ball if he had not run towards the woods but I still threw him the ball and the ball still had gotten lost. In that case, if Jared can stay away from the woods and my throw is off enough that the ball goes into the woods, then it is my fault. In another situation, Jared could have not been responsi ble for losing the ball if he told me to throw the ball carefully, but I still threw it into the woods and lost the ball. Through this situation, Jared is acknowledging the danger of the woods and is telling me to be careful.
